2016 HIMSS Cybersecurity Survey Results

HIMSS recently released the results from its 2016 Cybersecurity Survey, which assessed healthcare organizations' breach history, threat concerns and security preparedness. Our infographic highlights key questions from the survey.

Highlights from this year's survey include:

  • 80% of respondents experienced a security incident recently, while last year only two-thirds of respondents indicated they had experienced a recent incident.
  • Ransomware is now the threat organizations are most concerned about. Last year, the top concerning threat was phishing attacks.
  • Risk assessment results and phishing attacks continue to be motivating factors for organizations improving their information security focus.
