HSCC Recommendations In Response To COVID-19

March 9, 2020 David Finn

The Healthcare and Public Health Sector Coordinating Council (HSCC) today released recommendations for healthcare organizations to manage teleworking strategies during the COVID-19 response. While teleworking is a routine way of doing business in many sectors, teleworking during wide-scale public health emergencies such as we are seeing with the COVID-19 virus may introduce management, technology, and bandwidth challenges to maintaining uninterrupted workflows and the provision of healthcare services to the public. The Teleworking Management Checklist is designed as a quick reference for enterprise management in healthcare to consider important factors in a teleworking strategy that reduces downtime and latency while supporting patient care, operational and information technology, security, and supply chain resilience.
