Effective Healthcare Compliance Programs

HCCA recently surveyed compliance and ethics professionals to better understand whether or not compliance programs are effective at stopping incidents from occurring. Additional, OIG has released a list of several best practices healthcare compliance programs should be following. Our infographic highlights key finding from the survey, as well as OIG's recommendations.

Highlights from the infographic include:

  • Most respondents reported that their compliance program has prevented misconduct.
  • Inquiries and reports increase after training is given on a compliance topic.
  • Slightly more respondents from the healthcare industry report that training has led to employees revealing potential misconduct than respondents from other industries.
